hartnell has been terrible the last two years and is incapable of contributing as a bottom 6 forward.

Umberger has less years left on his deal and can chip in on the bottom 6 and on the PK

Now Zuke has to hope the 1/1 signing works in his favor and he's raking up the points. Here's to hoping Zuke puts up a bunch of points for the next 6 years and we have him signed for 6 years.

Definite risk there pushing it back one year with Staal, Haglin, Stepan and Talbot needing new contracts, oh and St. Louis as well. But by taking that deal at only $3.5m I think it also shows how much he wants to play here and stay here.

If there is another deal already lined up this is great. Gives us cap space for this year because zucc would have easily got above 4.

Heckuva deal here for that price, 1 yr though really is some risk if Zucc continues to put up the #s.

Wow Zuccs took a lot less than I thought he would. Should be interesting next offseason
